We currently offer four report templates, listed below. Use the panel below to access pre-computed reports for BLM lands, generate custom reports for any land unit, or access tutorials and documentation.

Drought v1

Description: Generate the original Climate Engine drought summary report for a selected area. This report provides long- and short-term drought blend maps, drought category summaries, and historical drought time series to help users quickly understand current drought status and recent drought evolution.
Data sources: gridMET Drought
Update frequency: Every 5 days

Drought v2

Description: Generate the expanded Climate Engine drought report with a more complete summary of drought and climate conditions. This report includes current drought extent, water-year-to-date precipitation, temperature, and evaporative demand summaries, plus period-of-record context for interpreting current conditions relative to history.
Data sources: gridMET, gridMET Drought, U.S. Drought Monitor
Update frequency: Every 5 days

Site Characterization

Description: Generate a long-term site characterization report with status and trend information from fractional vegetation cover, vegetation production, climate, and drought indicators to support a range of resource assessments. This report expands on existing tools by providing increased spatial context, trend information, and climate context.
Data sources: Rangeland Analysis Platform Cover and Production, gridMET, gridMET Drought
Update frequency: Yearly

Vegetation Production

Description: Evaluate current and historical vegetation production for a selected area, with summaries designed for rangeland and natural resource applications. This report includes cumulative production, departures from normal, long-term production trends, and plant functional group summaries to support interpretation of vegetation conditions over time.
Data sources: Rangeland Analysis Platform 16-day Production, gridMET
Update frequency: Every 16 days during the growing season
